My Lee Second Edition reloading manual has formulae for reducing loads with a pressure factor and a velocity factor. Some of them use slow powders like H414. Has anyone tried this for cast...

What do you think the pressure problem will be? There isn't any pressure data in the book.

I have some 311284 bullets that I inherited from my Dad, along with some powder and his old manuals. The bullets measure out to .314, and weigh 220 gr lubed and checked, which I'm hoping will work...

I re slugged the M44, and I got .315 grooves this time. Which means a .316 mold and/or paper patching. I think I may do both, but I'm not sure I can paper patch... We'll see.

I'm pretty much a boolit shooter only. I can mine the berm for free, jacketed bullets cost money that She Who Must Be Obeyed isn't willing to release... :violin:

And the numbers are .3135 and .305 for the M44 and .312(might even be .311) and .300 for the M91/30.

This explains why the M44 shoots around corners and the M91/30 is pretty close to a tack...

I loaded up 10 rounds with 19 gr of Blue Dot (40% of case capacity) pushing a LEE CTL312-160-2R. The boolit, with gas check, weighs 170 gr.

Am I going to blow up my Mosin?

You could try 13 gr of Red Dot.
