I use coww for buckshot. Seems to do great. Slugs I tend to cast soft.

I think you'd be fine with it.. And for s&g's I'd see if a .359 projectile in a dummy case will drop in and fall out of the cylinder. It's likely the restriction of the cyl mouth is at the very end...

The images above in post 1 are of hollow point?? It's a small opening.. but AFAIK..it counts as HP not fmj.
yup..good for glocked brass..or other unsupported chamber guns.. A lee FCD with a sizer ring usually works too

yup..drips and powder sacks.. I use them on cattle strung across a narrow gate they have to pass thru to eat.. good for swine too.

The cast lead simply swage down passing the throat to the forcing cone.

reminds me of an arbor press. Wonder if it was a grommeting press..?
I use a case gauge just as a go / no go quick check on like 1 in 20 rounds. Your guns chamber is the real test..though if it passes a case gauge..it should fit ANY gun. I doubt the oversized...

if you have good temp..hot mold.. clean mold that is seasoned or sooted..and you still get wrinkles..I'd add a little tin.. if you know you have plenty of tin.. look at the mold again..

Bottom line.. If the bullet is still being seated after the case encounters the roll crimp shoulder..or the taper restriction on a taper crimp...it will shave. Ideally..the bullet stops moving right...

Seeing many discussions on this form I'm sure it is highly confusing to new Reloaders to hear a lot of seasoned Reloaders say not to crimp something just to close the mouth flare when in fact for...

Try flairing the case mouth more so it doesn't shave..then taper crimp..see if it chamber correctly then. If you gave a Lee FCD even better..it has a carbide ring that should iron out any bulges.

In my experience.. lee alox dries fine unless you put a way too thick coating on it where it looks like a chocolate covered peanut. I thin alox with mineral spirits or naptha and will do a couple...

Great score..ive seen nearly 50% steel and zinc whenever I found any. By the time you factor in clips.. It's mostly 70% scrap. Also I've always seen stick on wheel weights as pretty much pure lead...

Is it shaving at seating and leaving a ring of crushed lead at the case mouth that then gets deposited at the chamber?

as others said..clean the spout..use clean lead..stir to bring dross up.
All I know is the spacer is 048 in which for stainless steel is considered 18 gauge and it works perfectly as a head spacer unfortunately easy materials to drill like Copper Brass and aluminum if you...
Finally had some range time today. Sent 250gr swaged Speer over 2.5gr .
Performed great. I setup up targets at 20' and used a dirtpile as a backdrop. Point of aim at that distance was dead...
As you know, many .455 webley had their cylinders shaved for 45acp and moon clips.

I've found light tg loads tend to be dirtier..mid and high loads can be as clean as many others.
