I had a very good experience with them as well. I was going to get my throats reamed by a local smith but s&w replaced the cylinder for free instead.
It is my understanding that Ruger will swap straight across on rings that ship with a new gun. You may call and see what they say in your case.
Yes. I also replace my dishwasher when I pull out a dirty spoon after it has run. Same thing with the washing machine, but then again they don't clean spoons very well in the first place.
I had a Kahr CW-45 and after about 500 rounds the slide stop sheared (with factory loads, all I'll shoot from a carry gun). After that I could never trust it and traded it off for something else....

Our Walmart carries 4064, unique, varget, h4831, and a couple others I can't remember. Nearest cabellas had primers on sale for $30 per thousand a few weeks ago.

Coldest I've been in was -40 with 40mph wind. If I recall it warmed up to -35 with the same wind. Gotta love the Wyoming oil patch.

When I whipped up my batch of lube I cooked all of the solvents out before adding the beeswax. This was nearly a year ago and the lube that is left seems identical to the way it was when first made....

Just picked up a mold from them a couple of weeks ago... Awesome customer service!
Just got off the phone with my BIL. The gun came back with a new cylinder and .430 throats. Got to hand it to s&w on this one. Looks like they done good.
This is the polar opposite of my experience but every wheel gun is different.
I know this has been mentioned already but I have see about a half dozen shotguns with scarred barrels because if these things.
Thanks for the specs... .4275 throats seem way smaller than they did a minute ago. He is currently waiting for the shipping level. Let's keep our fingers crossed!

.243 is a fine deer cartridge. Nearly everyone I hunt with has one. I watch it take 3-4 deer every year including a 350 yd shot my sister took less than a month ago. I have seen my buddy's dad take...

Old railroad tracks are removed and the right of way is converted to biking trails and the like.
He already checked with our local smith. He won't do it. The next closest smith is 2 hours away. At least with s&w they will pay the shipping.
No issues with the loaded rounds... Just have a leading issue in the first inch of the barrel.
He is like many of us are these days: free trumps speed. In talking to my shooting buddies they have...
The throats vary from right at groove diameter (,4285) to a thousandth under.
We slugged the bore at .4285 but have not slugged the throats yet. It leads the first 1-1.5" of the barrel so I'm sure they are under sized. No problems in the same model gun opened to .430.
