I did rotate the plug 90 degrees as you suggested. Then I placed a folded paper towel over the top and popped a #11 cap. A smaller hole was blown through the towel this time but the...

megasupermagnum, I will try to post photos tomorrow.
I POSTED PHOTOS IN #7 BELOW.

I have a second hand H&R Huntsman muzzle loader in 58 caliber that I believe was manufactured in the 1970s. It has a press-in breech plug with a slot in the top rear that mates up with an identical...

What thickness patch did you use with that .570 ball?
Thanks.

I loaded some for M1 carbine and they functioned well after a bit of tinkering with seating depth. It has been a few years and I do not remember how good or bad the accuracy was. I still have a...

Should work well for werewolves, Grmps.

Coat, then size.
The only reason to size twice would be if a shooter could show through testing that sized-coated-sized bullets demonstrated better accuracy over bullets that are coated-sized.

Does anyone shoot the Lee 358-105-SWC in a 380 auto? If so, what powders are you using and how much?
Thanks.

The oven posted by the OP is the one I use and it works quite nicely. Turn it to thirty minutes and let it cook, then cool, and the coating is excellent.

Maybe there is something I am missing. Why would one need to lube a case for resizing in a carbide die? Once I found carbide, I never touched my non-carbide dies.

Harbor Freight has a cement mixer for 150 bucks.
How about that and some stainless steel pins, a few gallons of water, a little soap, and citric acid?
I have sized hundreds of 30 carbine cases without lube and without any indication that a case wanted to get stuck.
Maybe I have just been lucky, but that is my observation.
I want a 45 mold that gives me a truncated cone bullet of about 185 to 200 grains.
Suggestions, please?
Thanks.
