I've had excellent results with the wolf primers in my Lee press. Hav'nt tried them in my 650 yet.

Rhead,
I would never intentionally run the pot over 850 degrees so I unplugged the pot and ran away, quickly. Maybe some one with chemical experience can set me straight if I'm wrong here but Ive...

I hear you Jack. I bought an RCBS pot right after that experience. Nice to have a built in thermo. I still use the Lee on occasion but keep it uncovered.

Should have mentioned that I had left the pot unattended (big no no). If you cover the pot, keep a thermometer in and stay with it. Never let it get over the vaporizing level.

Bad Idea.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Be very careful here. I ran the temp up to 1300 degrees doing that once. Fortunately I was outside and had the thermometer sticking through the tin foil but is was...

Best press for the money and caliber conversions are inexpensive. I can reload 150 rounds an hour with no problem. Lee has a winner here. Wish they would build a Pro 1000 on the same platform with 4...

Hey, that reminds me of a shoe salesman I ran cross several years ago. Picked out a pair of Davenport loafers. When we went to the counter to check out, he asked me if I had any shoe trees. What the...

Have a Dillon 650 from 1999. Rebuilt in 2004 for the cost of shipping to Dillon. Great machine. Also own several Lee presses that have given good service through the years. Would like to see Lee make...
Is that an older machine? The primer disposal notch is different than the ones on the newer 1000s. Almost looks like a ram from a Turret press. I think Lee use to make a progressive upgrade for one...

If you change over from 45 Colt to 38 Special and don't buy the entire carrier you will need a change over for small pistol primers. Also, you might want to buy another 3 hole toolhead so you wont...

Melting Zinc in with lead is a real cruddy deal but vaporizing the lead is a health hazard. Whatever you do make sure your melt doesnt get hot enough to vaporize. I dont know of any way to do that...

Square Deal uses Dillons proprietary dies. Just something to consider if you already have a few die sets of other manufacture.

I have some. They use to be so cheap you could buy one per caliber. Only three stations so no factory crimp die. Ive run 45 Colt, 44 Mag, 45 ACP, 38 Super and 9 MM on them. Have not tried rifle...

Morgan,
I have a slew of 45 ACP and 40 SW to pull. Where would I get an extended shell holder you mentioned in your instructions?
Thanks,

Has anyone had any success with cast bullets in the Ruger SR 9? If so what bullet or mold did you use?
Thanks,

Ran that same bullet through an RCBS lube sizer and had similar results. Wiped the bases off on a shop towel. A Star has since solved all my problems.
