I placed mine in the bathroom with the shower running hot, then sealed in the humidity when it was just right.

nice sight. but $100 on this free rifle seems like a lot. I'll keep it in mind.
any thoughts on drilling near or on the breech plug?

So, I've got a tc hawken I built a while back, and I've never shot it because I have no sights.
I prefer peep sights to notch and post.
What rear sight would you guys recommend?

Rust browning is fairly easy, and gives a great looking brown finish. It's what I did on my hawken kit a few years ago.
If you have the ability to boil the entire barrel, you can rust blue using...

Well, here's my experience. Ordered the air gun by sending an email to Mike, he called me and asked how I wanted it tuned, for accuracy, and decent shoot count. He tuned it and sent it out. I...

I recently got into air guns. I use mine for shooting an invasive species of bird. They're good eating.
I'm not sure if these are known here, but I thought I'd post a thread about them.

I've been happy with my 1895G in 45-70 since I bought it in about 2009. Load it with 350 great boolits, and between 1200 and 1700 fps. Could load faster, but don't see the need.
Ran a group buy...

I picked him up from the airport when he flew in to go to BBPDS, he stayed the night at my place before we drove up to Rock Springs.
He was a great guy to be around.

The similarity is, the seller sets a price for one method of payment, and the price for another method.
With some gas stations, it's one price for cash, and a higher price if paid with other...

I guess you don't like cash discounts at gas stations either.

Open carry doesn't really need to trickle down. It's legal in at least 40 of the 50 states.

What? Extreme recoil?
I've been shooting a 12 ga H&R single shot since I was 13. Was my birthday present that year.
The recoil may not be the lightest, but it's manageable.

Like the title says, does anybody know the load densities for 5.56 loads and 50 grain boolits?

JTknives uses spent primers as tumbling media.
His method is to put the brass and the used primers as well as some soapy water in a 2l mountain dew bottle, and chuck it up on the lathe, let it...

Just so you know, best way I've found to use an inertia bullet puller is to lay a rubber mallet on your bench, and hit the mallet with the inertia puller.
Really makes it go faster.

My most used load in my 45-70 marlin is 15 gr unique over a 350 gr ranch dog boolit. Gives me 1300 fps and has never given me a hangfire.
Given a good shooter, that combo will do 1" 3 shot...
Forum: Cast Boolits
Same idea.
15 gr x 2 = 30 gr.
10 gr x 2 = 20 gr.
Similar ratio, similar visual.
