Since I butchered his name, I'll add that his load is 24 grains of H110 and a 300 grain bullet. I dropped down to 22 grains for recoil reasons.

I've been using 22.0 grains of H110 and a 300 grain Laser cast bullet for years in my 10" Contender and my Ruger Blackhawks. This load is also used by Sheriff Jim Wilson, and writer Brian Pierce....

I've been shooting Contenders since about 1980 and will never be without one. I bought an Encore from a friend a few years ago and have several barrels for it too.

30 Herrett,22 K Hornet, 30-40 Krag,257 Roberts, 32 WS are all favorites. In my humble opinion they are like Lays potato chips, you can't have just one. :-)
