Interesting. I gotta try that sometime. I've got a bunch of HF paint laying around unused.

I know a gal from New Mexico. When she came up to visit both the temperature and humidity were in the upper 90's and she was surprised enough to joke that she wanted to go back to the desert to cool...

It works well for me but it won't help with the paint sticking with the high humidity of summer we get here in Wisconsin so like you, I do most of my powder coating in winter. In summer I've found...

I'm in Wisconsin too. I keep my paint in the jars the paint comes in and store them in an ammo box with a sealed lid along with some desiccant packs.

The big problem with HF powder coating is the with application. Usually takes at least 2 coats where other brands give good coverage with just one coat.

I use the same PID I use in my lead melting pot. Swap out the thermocouple with one made for monitoring air temps.
I preheat the oven first. Then put in my boolits and when the oven temp recovers to...

Cool!
I had to go check MY front porch after reading that.
Dang! Nothing there except snow.

I do use a different probe for my smoker than the one I use in my melting pot - no fan in mine, just the heat control.
Works good.

I have a Beagle/Basset mix that can't swim, she'll sink like a rock.
My lab has always loved water but would not swim until she was about 4 yrs. old. I finally got her to swim by wading out with her...

I still use the RCBS hand primer that came with the Rockchucker press that I bought 12 years ago.

I just run an electric clipper over my head and call it good.
Can get it done in less time than it takes to drive to the barber.

No sightings here in Wisconsin yet but my wife will be happy to know they're on the move.

Wish I could do that but one single bee sting would send me to the hospital.
Gotta stick to buying honey from our local apiarist.

I have a 3 die cowboy set and find myself using only the bullet seating die.
I prefer to use my Lee neck sizing die for sizing and a regular RCBS expander die because I can get an expander plug that...

Heck, if you shoot those you might get baby bullets.

That's why I size my cast bullets twice. For my 30cal bullets I size to .310" prior to powder coating then I size them at .311" after powder coating

I like the challenge of trying to make a particular rifle shoot as well as it possibly can - developing loads, accurizing if needed or refining my shooting, it's all part of the game and it's fun to...

I just let the sprues pile up until my pot gets low.
By then I need a break so I'll dump in those sprues, sit back and fire up a cigar and wait for the temp to come back.
I'm in no hurry.
Paid $20 for mine at Amazon. Works surprisingly well the money I spent.
It's clarity depends on which computer I use it on. It has good image when viewed on my laptop but rather poor when I use it...
I like my frankford arsenal trickler

That gets me thinking. I've got some real old silverware that's I found all bent up and not worth anything except for the silver content. Maybe I'll chop it up & toss it in the melting pot.
Anyone...

With a melting point of 1763 degrees, how would you get the silver mixed in?

If you enjoy it, who cares if it saves money.
If I were happy spending a few bucks on some fish at the grocer, I'm even happier I spent 10's of thousands of dollars on a boat and fishing gear-money...

I'd guess that the person running the gundrill had to stop-maybe the drill went bad and had to remove the barrel blank, change the drill and continue drilling. If they didn't line the blank up...

Pretty windy on the Wisconsin side of lake Michigan too. Neighbors shingles were laying all over our yard when I got home from work. Right now they're at their 2nd. home in Tennessee and I'm banging...
