Ditto on the lube! It's all I use on my 9mm & 45's. Tried it and haven't felt the need to try anything else. Though like many I am trying the PC route.

Problem is definitely related to neck tension. Adjusted the die to only seat the bullet. 150gr seated no problem. 220's either mushroomed the shoulder of the case a little or put a ring dent in the...

Made up a dummy round to get seating depth correct. Within a few min of handling the bullet was pushed into the case. So I assumed a small amount of crimp was necessary. Not that there's much further...

No. This small test batch was done on a single stage while I work up the loads.
Was trying to nail down the load before messing with setting up the Dillon. The powder funnel would open it a bit....

The converted brass is PMC. Saw it was in the "good" list. Half of the failures were on R-P 300BLK. Cases are tumbled in corncob, lubed (Hornady OneShot), sized, trimmed to length and chamfered...

Has anyone had problems seating bullets, esp longer ones in 300BLK? About 6 out of 20 have folded at the shoulders like below. This was loading 220gr jword bullets (haven't decided on the mold yet to...

Finally wrangled it away from the postoffice. Wow! That is one pretty mold.
The wife used to be a machinist so I acquired an appreciation for good metalwork and this certainly qualifies.

In my 4500, it will work without heat but is much easier with a little. Plug the heater in for 10min and...

Randy was kind enough to send a sample of the new green TAC-1. However, it took forever to get my previous lube out. Apparently, I'm not casting enough! Well, it finally made its way through but not...

nice looking boolits! Almost worth going the PC route just to get that color. Reminds me of the color I used on popping bugs I tied for bass fishing.

bdthaxton,
Sorry to hear your having so much trouble. I started out casting for a Sig 226 in 9mm also. I must say I never experienced the tumbling issue and I have shot most everything in the 115 -...

CJA45,
Those look awesome. Still kicking myself for missing out on this GB.
Let us know how you make out. That is a nice mold. Still kicking myself for missing the GB.

+1 on TAC1 and Randy is awesome to work with. It works great in my Lyman 4500. I plug the heater in for 5 min and its good to go for that session.
Never noticed or thought about that. I'll have to check next time I load those.
Only time I go over 1.10 anymore is with 147gr.

Ditto. I'd like to see some 147gr bullet porn too please! :bigsmyl2:
I have the Lyman Lyman 356637 and the NOE 358 135Gr. I find both of them to be far more accurate than I am. :-) The Lyman casts close to 154gr consistently and the NOE about 137gr. Both are with WW....

Beagle,
I like that shade of green. You can def see the coverage easily.

what he said. :) And when you're pan lubing it helps you see how big a mess you're really making.

Randy,
You really don't have to change the color. I like the darker green but your stuff works great as is.
