I have the same question. The few reviews that I have seen seem to suggest a 2-3" group at 50 yards is normal. If that's the case I will hang on to my old beat up Remlin.
I do find it strange...

Yes sir, three shots touching with two "flyers". The guy on the lane next to me couldn't believe it. He said "You better take a picture of that!" I said "Yeah, I'll never do that again!"
Great...

I have a 512. It is my favorite rimfire rifle. I sight it in at 50 yards and the accuracy is always great. It seems to shoot just about everything that I put through it.
One day I was testing...

Wow, that's good to know. I just had JES re-bore one of my Springfields to 35 Whelen. Outstanding work.
Thanks for that.

I was thinking about going the end cap route. There is a very good gunsmith locally that I have used before. I think I will give him a call and see if he would want to take the job.
Thanks every...

You're probably right but I have two other 1894's that shoot the same loads repeatedly with no problems and have done so for years. I think I will order the handguard from RPP and see what happens....

I don't know about a permanent fix. That's why I am looking at replacing the fore end.
Forum: Leverguns
Yes, the rear band screws are being bent due to recoil.
I admit that I shoot a lot of loads right at the maximum published limits.
One thing I have done to fix the problem is putting some RTV...

Hello neighbors,
I want to replace the forearm on one of my Marlin 1894C's. I want to try one of the Ranger Point Precision aluminum forearms. I'm not trying to go tacticool.
My rifle has a...

I used to question the rubber butt pad also as my older JM Marlins didn't have them. But I own a Remlin with one and one advantage I have found is that in the summer months when sweat is rolling off...

Go here to Midway and get your name on the list my friend.
There are a few available on Guns International. The only stainless one is in 44 mag unfortunately. Best of luck.

I have a Blackhawk and a Rossi 92. I cast the Accurate 45-250P sized to .454".
I like 9.1 gr of Unique of 20 gr of IMR 4227.

Buy now and enjoy them.
At my age I am too old to worry. I have given...

I have to agree with Lloyd in the post above. I have sent back two brand new Rugers in the past 2 years. I ordered them in to my FFL but when I opened the box they were unacceptable.
It's not...

Very nice. That is one of the guns on my bucket list. Unfortunately at my age I will never see one. But I still like to see them and hear about them.

You are a man after my own heart. I like buying junkers and projects and putting them back in service. My 2009 1894C looked like it had been run hard and put away wet. Missing the rear band and...

I know a lot of folks warn against the Remington made Marlins and maybe for good reason. But I have two 1894's made after Marlin was acquired by Remington.
One is a 1894CB with a 20" barrel. The...

In my Marlin 1894 I load the NOE 180 gr WFN GC over 14 gr of unobtainium, I mean 2400. This gives me around 1750 fps. I think this bullet is similar to the .359 Hammer.
But for everyday range...

I just recently bought one of the new CBC built Rossi 92's in 357 magnum. I bought the 24" octagon model.
One of my favorite rifles to shoot is my Marlin 1894 32-20 built in 1901. It also has a...
