Use data for the 358429, the minor difference in weight between the 358429 and the 358439 is meaningless. Other bullets styles such as the 358156 are not of the same design and are not...
In your experience what do the throats measure from the factory?
I've had a 696 since they were introduced and shoot mainly Skeeter loads. Shooting double action (mine is DA only) I expect hits on the steel plate at 25 yds. Not just sometimes, most of the time.

B&P just announced a line of 2 1/2 inch shells for vintage guns.
The last two I bought were under $100. Patience is your friend.
I have three MEC 600's in various gauges. I have them mounted on cutting boards and just pull out the one I need and clamp it to the bench.
I've never heard of the Six series having any kind of problems. My understanding is that the Six series revolvers were expensive to manufacture. In fact, Bill Ruger was quoted as saying he never made...

If you scroll down the page past the CAS loads Hodgdon website shows Accurate No. 9 @ 32,200psi and 1,255 fps. Ramshot True Blue is @ 34,800psi and 1,464 fps. Those loads are no joke.

I think, for the Missouri bullet you have, the Lyman manual is a poor choice. Your bullet is of unknown heritage and is not closely related to most of the Lyman bullets. The information in the...
Going into my 35th tax season, just can't seem to get enough.
The way I read their response is that they are using all the brass they can produce to make factory ammunition. If that is the case it is hardly a case of having "bailed" on the cartridge.
While not your exact bullet, this is a good representation of what is meant by seating over the front band.

2400 or Unique is all I've ever used in 41 magnum lead loads. Are you looking for high or low velocity?

I use a small wooden box with a hinged lid that I picked up at a craft store. I cut a piece of foam to fit the box and punched holes in the foam using an appropriately sized cartridge case. Cost me...

Nope, M69 and the M696 are both 5 shot L frame revolvers. The only meaningful (IMO) differences are the M69 has the new style barrel that solves the thin forcing cone issue and it's chambered in 44...
I agree, as much as I love my 696, the M69 is the logical choice.
The advantage of the 41 special lies in the fact it will fit in a smaller revolvers than currently produced 41 magnums with little reduction of the velocities attainable. If you are looking to launch...
I had a mid frame Flat top Blackhawk converted 41, 41 specials loaded with a 220gr 410459 are a perfect fit.
If I were to do another one I would want a GP100 or L frame S&W. I don't think a K...
