I did not like the .35 Whelen with cast. I suffered shoulder set-back. Pistol primers may help.
It is fine with jacketed.

Re-boring and re-rifling =machine time =money.
Buy the .308, send to H&R for a .357 barrel, and rechamber will be cheaper.

Stick more trigger finger over the trigger if you are right handed.

I have set off many primers before I learned to seat them easy. You can feel them bottom out, if you tap easy.

I would use a hardwood stick instead of a hammer. Easier on the dies.

You forgot the critical step of sampling the bourbon to make sure it is of the finest quality!
You may need to repeat this step if unsure.

You can glue a LEE de-capper into a large hardwood ball from the hardware.
Set it over a hole and whack it with your hand.
I'm a cheapskate, this may not fit your life style.
