I am 46 yes old and I've been collecting lead for around 10 years now. Between relatives, fleamarkets and tire shops I've accumulated about 150 lbs of Monotype, 75 lbs Linotype, 2000 lbs of wheel...

You can also try submerging them in white vinegar overnight. White vinegar will eat rust. I use it all the time to clean rusty parts.

If memory serves I was shooting 2.5 - 3" at 100rds. I only loaded these until they would reliably cycle in the SCAR. Perhaps they would perform better after fine tuning.
