Did you expand the case mouth before loading the bullet?

My recommendation is to start sorting early. You don’t want to melt any of the zinc with the lead. Sort and clean up what you have any only take lead to where you are melting them down.

Round nose lead is fine for tube mags. Pointed bullets not so much.

They will also cause power outages by walking on transformers. Step on the connections at the same time, both squirrel and transformer blow up.

Have you shot the existing barrel? If it looks like crud but still shoots good, why change anything?
