Thank you; now the numbers on the quick ref make more sense to me. I located a pdf showing all the old Ideal mold numbers, grain and a picture of the bullet profile. It appear the 310 seating stems...
I have started to pick up 310 hand tool dies for 300 Savage, 303 Savage, 30-30, and 30-06.
The seating die for the 300 Savage and 30-06 both came with a #366 stem in them. The old Ideal quickref...

This C309-170-F did just fine last fall on a 6-pointer at 100 yards. I was loading gas-checked using IMR3031 with a muzzle velocity of 1790. Bullet passed through. Buck went about 30 yards. 20"...
Is the decapper that came with the 310 tool 5-die sets (neck sizer is a separate die) the same for all 5-die tool sets (i.e. - can it be used as a universal decapper), or does it's diameter/length...

300 Savage, a very underrated cartridge.

Anyone know of a commerical caster that sells the Ranch Dog 379-235?
Have a couple .375 Winchesters I'd like to try them in.

Be sure to only look at serial numbers above 900,000, when Savage modified the action, extended it from 2.600 to 2.800" to market the longer Winchester cartridges (.308. .284 and .358). Not sure if...

I was thinking the same thing; my .300 Savage 99 kicks much less than my 99 .308.

Very nice. Savage 99 are so well made and usually shoot moa with good loads.
