Thank you forrest again for your help. You have help me more then you think. I was able to to shoot my cast + PC without leading and very little streaking from PC in the barrel.

Each target was shot 6 times

they are .356 unless its says 358 on the target
356 did shoot little better and had FCD on it without crimp, no swaging seen

i JUST did it today! i have settled on 3.8gr of HP38 for BOTH guns.
358 vs 356 W/FCD saw that 356 was little better. They were seated 1.05 for both. Cycles great. Used the data from Western Powder...

Thanks Runfiverun that was the range i was looking for. I tested 3.7. my accuracy was bad so i need to get a pistol rest which i ordered. Now i am sizing boolits to .356 and .358. Not too much...

Does anyone have a snapshot of Lee load data with 125gr 356-120-TC COAL 1.05 starting and max load for HP38/W231?

So they do load well and shoots OK, no tumbling or keyholing at 7 and 15yds. I was concerned about "wearing" out the extractor or messing up a new gun.

So i loaded up some rounds using 356-120-TC at .358 PCed Seated down to 1.05.
My PT111G2 passes the plunk test and falls right out and spins freely.
My Shield 9mm plunk in the chamber decently and...

I know harbor Freight usually has something and they always have 20-25% coupon.

I already use the 38SW expander plug. I have tons and ton of military brass now and i can get unlimited amount,which i have not used yet.
My last test had COAL of 1.05 but on the shield its doesnt...

Just found out i had no leading with thicker powdercoat. Ring i did not return. for some odd reason, but i will have to take a closer look.
fired 12 rounds in each gun and saw no leading.

I checked after shooting, Yes i do get a ring of lead(well more like 1/6 of a ring or less) where the casing seat into the chamber.
How do i fix it? and whats causing it?

I shot 4.2gr and its swaging my primers BUT i see almost no leading after 1 dry patch after firing 15 rounds per gun.

So i loaded up 25 rounds of 3.3gr and 25 rounds of 3.8gr COAL of 1.045-1.05 with very tight fit and shoot great and very good accuracy.
I have found that 3.8 gr had Less fouling then 3.3gr. I may...

I followed Smokes direction. Pre-heat (i preheated for 10 mins just to be sure) and cook it for 20 mins on the dot. I used Laser temp gun on the casts and they are around 390-400. I do stand them...

I just found out ogive on the powder coated bullets add about .003 all around compared to non-powder coated. thats why i had to seat them deeper. I might try a 1.05 "tight fit" plunks OK but will...

Odd thing is i can plunk the shield with 1.05 with Berry's HBFP 124gr sized to .356. but not any longer than that. maybe the design of it.
