I recently honed out .003" from a lee with a split dowel to hold the emery, some WD40 and a drill.
The finish was better than factory and it's easy to do, just take it slowly.

I've always used a bbq lighter or tossed in a match mainly so I don't get my hand to involved in the process. I've never thought about what might happen with a lighter.

My 25 or so years old rcbs dies oversize the cases too much. I have got by with adjusting them out to partial size.

From what I have researched babybel wax was at some point in history carnuba but no longer is.

I've seen those in your pic be the last to melt too as the pot temp' is recovering.
Quite a lot of the stick on weights I get seem to be a similar alloy to clip on and melt first.
