I made some loads up a while back. 17 grains of Goex 2f, compressed with a wad and grease cookie. Lots of fun in a S&W model 60 snubbie. Can feel the heat from the muzzle flash.

I have plenty of experience eating that Mennonite sausage, and know many that make it. The recipe is so very simple you might not believe it, but here it is.
-coarse ground pork
-salt
-pepper

That's what I do, and I have gone to a steel melting pot too. Cast Iron takes too long to heat up, in my experience.

Any of you ever put maple syrup on cornbread?

Ah, I would, but , it would take me an hour to do so. No smart phone here.

I recently bought a Lyman universal press stand which raises my rockchucker up 9", and then realized that I should also raise up my Powder measure too.
There is room on the Lyman stand to attach the...

I measured the trigger pull with a luggage scale. Not the right tool for the job I know, but useful in this case. The trigger was at 9.5 lbs double action, compared to about 15 lbs on my other two K...

I will try that. Good way to make sure.

Got the same rate of misfires using CCI primers too. Has to be the mainspring then. Will get me a new one now.

I have a new batch of ammo loaded with CCI primers. I will shoot them tonight, and see how it goes.

This is the same brass I have been using for some time now, and was good till now. I seat the primers the same way as I always have, no way they are not seated deep enough. Like I said, everything...

Can't see it being the gun, all was well until recently with these primers, first 600 or so, no problem. The primers are getting a good whack with the hammer. I have some CCI that I'll try next, see...

I am down to the last 300 of a box of Winchester small pistol primers, and am experiencing about 5% won't fire with the first drop of the hammer in my S&W model 13. Nothing in my reloading has...

I made some of those with a different Mcmaster carr washer. Mine are the EPDM #9013A012. Same size. I found them quite stiff to push through, although they worked well enough.
Just for kicks I...

That's how I do it now too. Melt that stuff off. Tried everything else, and nothing worked as well.

Too much water and or sugar and yeast. Cut down the water first, see what you get. Only make one change at a time. I have owned a bunch of these machines, and it always takes a bit to get them dialed...

I don't know about better iron back then, but the cooking surface was machined, lodge doesn't do this anymore.

Could be the cases are annealed a bit too soft. Maybe try shooting a few rounds, then see how they are.

Don't do anything, they are fine. Re-sizing will stretch them a bit.

Or you could just boil a bit of water in the pot first. If it doesn't leak water, it can't leak lead. Wipe out the pot after, and get on with melting lead. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I have one of the Walmart hot plates, and with a saw blade on the coils, it would take at least 20 minutes to get an iron mold hot enough. I now use a thinner sheet metal plate, and it heats up in...

I suggest boiling some water in it first, if it doesn't leak water, it shouldn't leak lead. Why fix something that ain't broke?
