Has anyone here tried a Keith type boolit through the Henry .41? My Marlin is pretty finicky about what it will eat, and I ended up buying a RNFP mould just for it, but I much prefer a Keith SWC....

I have a .30-150 Lee mould that is kind of hard to get Gator checks on. As others have suggested, I have long used a little horse-shoeing hammer to gently tap them on before crimping. A little tap...

I've bought five or six of the Lee six-pack moulds (most of which were from group buys), and, so far at least, all have been very good with only one that needed an alignment pin staked in a bit more...

Sorry to hear of the bad mould. I have two of his .41 moulds, and two in .44. All four of mine have been great. I have high hopes for this one as well.

For those who have been waiting for NOE to make another run of .452-230 FN/HP moulds, I just want to let y'all know that they are now in stock, but not many left. After waiting ten months, I jumped...

Thanks, Mr. Peabody. Those sort of details are very helpful in making my choice as to which design to go with.

Thank you, gentlemen, for your input. Any more folks have experience with these?

There's a good chance that your gas tube may be getting plugged with lead, prohibiting sufficient gas flow to the bolt carrier. I learned this the hard way when I had a .22 L.R. conversion kit it one...

Pardon me for asking, as I don't wish to hi-jack this thread, but as I'm seriously considering getting a NOE SC311-165-HP (which I believe is basically a RD with conventional lube grooves), can you...

46 now, but started before I was 20. Feeding my toys Ballistic Tips and XTPs got expensive.....

I'ld like to get a new hollow point .30 caliber mould from NOE, but I'm torn between the 311-165 and SC311-165. I like the larger frontal diameter of the SC, but am wondering how well it would feed...
Does anyone still have a copy of the spec drawing for the .460 / 325 Hammer mould from a group buy in 2007? I need to ascertain the shank diameter before ordering gas checks.
I've had .38s made by Rossi, Ruger, Taurus, Charter Arms, Colt, and S&W. No bad thigs to say about any of them, but the only one I was really happy with was the K-38. Still have it and believe it...

See CatShooter's 210 grain .45 six-banger in the Group Buy section. Looks to be a really nice one.
Being a tight-wad (and broke, thanks to all these great group buys) I did the exact same thing that Joel did last year and it worked great.

As Mr. Brooks said, if any comes west I could surely use a couple thousand pounds, maybe a bit more.
Take a peek at CatShooter's .45-210 in the group buy section. Looks to be a great bullet.
You know, a lot of us - me included - whined, sniveled, and moaned at Ruger for a return to a smaller frame and we pretty much all swore up and down that we wouldn't ever try to push hot loads...
I need a replacement trigger for an Old Model (3 screw) Single Six. Anybody make new replacements or have any originals? Tried Numrich but they are out.
Forum: CB Loads / Military Rifles
Thanks for the tip. I got one box last year, but should have got more.
Forum: CB Loads / Military Rifles
Yep, the long barrel on the civilian version don't look right and the trigger is long and mushy. BUT, like the other guys have said, they'll eat anything reliably and are more accurate than I would...

If you'd rather buy 'em, Magnus Bullet Co. has got a nice pin bullet. It is their number 807, which they label the "PinGrabber".
Forum: Gas Checks
I had a similar experience. I just set the bullet down on the gas check and give it a good tap on the nose with a horse shoe hammer. Check went on, sized and shot fine.
