Does anyone know the color of blue on a San Diego made sizer. I just bought a used one that has chipped paint from handling not use. I would like to touch it up. Thanks

Thanks again Ozark, I seen that stud in the upper left corner but thought it was the bottom of a long handle. I had some 0-1 in .625 dia so that whats my gunsmith is making my handle from. I'll keep...

Thanks Ozark, by chance was a barrel used in making a handle in any of your early A's?

I bought a Mod A sometime back. I want to start using it some. Paint is nearly 100 %. My question is the handle. It's an old barrel. There's a taper turned on the breech end and then threaded 1/2-20....

If by chance you have a 17 Zipper FL die in that pile you're willing to sell, I'm interested. I have the the Easton Seater die but would be interested in a complete set. Thanks, Ray

I want to build a 30-30. I'm using a current made control feed Mod 70 and have a 10 tw Lilja HV contour barrel. Still looking for a trigger since the Jewell doesn't fit the new M-70 I've been told....

Ken, sorry to hear of your lost. I always look forward to your posts. Glad you're getting back into reloading and using a unique set of tools to do it. After a fire last year that had us pretty much...

Thanks Kevin, I have an Easton seater die for the 17 Zipper. I know both companies made them , was hoping you might have a set of old dies. I'm building a gun this winter.
Forum: Reloading Equipment
Kevin you wouldn't by chance have a set of Hollywood or Easton dies for the 17 Zipper???

Check out John Whidden at whiddengunworks.com , he makes a great die from your cases. They are reasonable priced too. He does 20 cal and up. Good people to deal with too.

Couple things I did to the RCBS puller was to polish the outside of the collet so it released from the die body easier. I bought a thrust bearing from MSC that had fitted over the handle that screws...

Alex on my short 17 and 20 cal wildcats I mark just above the web and have no problems. I'm running pretty warm loads. Your case is big, a 1/2" or so above should be fine. some of my cases run around...

Alex, instead of the sticks, try TempLac 650* and get a bottle of thinner they sell for it. The carrier in TempLac evaporates pretty quick so always replace the cap as soon as you swipe the neck. I...

You shouldn't have any problems. I've taken 223 down to 17 cal and later made them into 20 cal. I did anneal. The more you work brass the more it work harden. You're not moving the brass much.

Glad it's working for you. Yes it is a fun cartridge.

You'll be ok starting at 3gr. Actually I think you'll end up at 7 gr or a little more. Go up in .5gr steps until they 90% and then take smaller steps. At 90% your case should have the proper head...
