Alas I have no pictures. I can tell you that my maternal grandfather was army infantry in WW1 and was issued a Model 1917. He had a lot of great things to say about it.

I have a 300 Blackout. It is extremely accurate and can fire spitzer bullets so at some point the 300 BO will have more energy than a 30-30 lever gun. ARs are typically very easy to work on and...

I am in TxCowboy's camp. We bought a new Kubota L2501 about six years ago. I take good care of it but it gets used a lot for a lot of different things. It has been flawlessly reliable and amazingly...

My Marlin 1894 feeds wadcutters reliably. It also shoots accurately with the RCBS 158 grain semi-wadcutter gas check bullet. The Lyman 358429 in .357 cases will not feed at all in my rifle.

I hunt on our farm and hunt about three days a week since October 11th. I believe that I have see right at 42 deer so far but not one decent buck. I need to change tactics. My normal practice is to...

Thank you very much for posting this video. I enjoyed it a lot.

I have killed a couple of deer with .223 rifles. I placed the shots carefully and the deer didn't move very far after being shot. This is a very good thing because there was no blood trail in either...

Sgt H, thanks for your reply. I have a number of nice hunting rifles but I like lever guns. I am hoping to get one of the new Ruger/Marlin 45-70s. Here in S.C. the deer are not real large either but...

Thanks for your kind reply. Do you have an opinion of the Lyman #457122 mold for the 45-70? I am planning to start acquiring what is required to reload 45-70 in anticipation of picking up a Marlin in...

If you size your bullet right and use the right alloy, when do you need a gas check for 45-70? I notice many of the molds for sale do not have gas checks in this caliber.

I am a timber tract owner in S.C. Around here leasing your timber tract nets you about $2 per acre after insurance, etc.

I understand your problem. I am 68 and I need a scope for hunting. Is it possible to do some sort QD mount? That way most of time you wouldn't need to have the scope on the rife.

My Marlin 1894 likes the 158 grain Hornady XTP under some H110 and the 158 grain RCBS gas checked .357 bullet under 15.9 grains of H110. Both loads shoot to the same point of impact at 100 yards and...

That's a very creative and well thought out solution. Thanks for sharing.
1095 or VG10 or H1 depending on application. If I am down on the coast with my boat, H1 is pretty nice. VG10 is a great all around stainless. 1095 is great for large hard use knives.
I shoot snub revolvers at 25 yards and larger pistols at 50. I used to shoot NRA Bullseye so anything less seems like wasting ammo.
A visit to my local public range will clear up any...

My wife has a 1997 Wrangler. It is pretty easy to work on. My 2014 Wrangler is not too bad. We make enough money to take it to a mechanic. Our problem is finding a decent shop.

^^^^This! If you don't need cash, I would not be selling any firearms and especially now.
This is an interesting thread. I like snubnoses quite a bit and own eight but have never found the perfect revolver. I like to switch between AIWB and pocket carry depending on the temperature and...

Do you have any idea of what velocity you are getting? This is quite interesting.
I have had excellent results with the RCBS 158 grain SWC gas check and the Lyman 358429.
