Thanks. I was looking for a reduced load as 500grn. Bullets at 2150 don’t sound like fun. I did find a published load using Trail Boss powder with a velocity of 1250, about what I want.

Anyone here using 2400 for light cast loads in a .470 Nitro Express? I have had good results with 2400 in smaller cases, but don't know about using it in a large case.

There was no nuclear testing in this area. I do see and hear military airplanes around here, could it be a radar reflector?

The ring is square and level, and does not move. It only appears to be tipped because of the angle of the picture. The slats are loose on the ring and do move in the wind.

I ran onto this in a somewhat remote area in Western Utah. It's about ten feet high and the ring on top is about four feet in diameter. It looks like it's been there for a long time. Anyone have an...

Thanks guys, A SUPPOSTORY MOLD!!! Who would have thunk it. Judging from the dirt and marks on it some uninformed heathen has been using it for lead.
I wonder what he was shooting them in?

I found this in a box of molds and reloading equipment that was given to me. The only
mark I can find is a number 4 stamped on top. The holes measure about .410.
Any ideas?

I've done it exactly as you describe as a test, and never had any problems.
