I stopped in at McGowan today and ordered up a 1:14 threaded and chambered prefit, #7 contour at 18" They said eight weeks so I'll have to start gathering moulds and dies and such.

That boolit looks like a thumper now!

Out of curiosity, did you go with gas check or plain base? I have not yet started down the GC rabbit hole as most of my casting efforts have been either pistol or sub sonic .308.

Forster classic with three way cutters for most of what I do. Also neck turner and hollow pointer. Easy to switch back and forth from hand powered to cordless drill powered.

The B7 all thread is certainly superior to generic plated all thread. I have used it to make dies for forming an re-sizing brass for 44 shotshells. Also a person could harden it after machining....
