Hang on, there's a guy over there in the corner I haven't offended yet!
:D
I liked that post.
I'd love to see more customs on the range, but simple fact is, most of us can't afford a full custom! Maybe the fancy gun don't shoot, or maybe it's just the guy that can afford...
Oh, I don't suspect 44man will get too offended by my opinion! He certainly knows his stuff! But would it kill us to stay on the subject of Reeder and his guns and not whether or not the BFR is the...
You're ability to highjack a thread with irrelevant, hateful spewing of opinions is the stuff of internet legend.
If you are a fan of real life data, maybe you should check out the results from...
Fyi, the CP 265 did not fit in my FA. Might check before you load too many.
Get a Kydex j-frame holster. Heat it up at a very low temp in your oven, then mold it to the gun and let it cool. "Hot" is still cool enough to touch with your hands. I did this to a Safariland...
I just went thru this thread from start to finish! I learned many things, but mostly, I need more practice with a wheel gun. I knocked right on the door of 10,000 rounds this year and I still can't...
I wasn't the one that bumped this, but ive been and it was pretty awesome. Might do the one in IL this year.
Only downside is shooting it on the pistol line at the range at 7-25 yards and feeling like an idiot at such short ranges. You're right, it has become a bench tool, for the most part.
A LOT of shooters complain that scopes show too much movement and it upsets their shooting. My logic is, you're shaking anyways. Either you see it in the scope and you practice getting more steady,...
tazman, I'm in the same boat. With iron sights, the operator is the weak link. I do have the scoped blackhawk and it performs pretty well. I plan to repeat the test with the 44M.
It's funny to hear Remington rimfire ammo spoke of positively. It's garbage these days. About 2-4 per 100 won't fire and it's been that way for several years so the obviously don't care.
I gotta...
Great post. Parts of this thread make those records seem pretty soft, somebody better go beat them asap.
Such software can be found for free online or for any smart phone. just fyi.
Hard to say, but I don't recall any of them claiming so?
Also, your sig line kills me. The answer is gravity! GRAVITY! arrgghhh!!!! but I'm sure you already know that, it'd take less than a minute...
Dang, for half a page or so there, we were almost back on topic...
Here's the gun mentioned above in a quite blurry picture. Sorry about that. This shows how I was shooting that day. It's three separate three-shot groups. There's only 8 holes, I flinched hard, like...
Jim, here's what you need to do. Open a Word file on your computer(or notepad if you don't have Window's Office). Save As "Reloading" to your desktop. Make a list of categories that you think are...
I think this is one of my best groups, right around three inches at 100, but only three shots. Why? Cuz this shooter gets shakey. Gun is box stock. Extra hole labeled H was placed with a Hornady...
44man, you repeatedly say that it's not the gun, partly the shooter, and mostly all on the reloading bench. Please elaborate. I don't care about pictures of shotgun shells, I can believe you. What...
If you want to use special data, just match special overall length by deep seating and you're good to go.
I hate to put this thread back on the topic of handloading 44mag, instead of hunting, but I just had a quick note. The OP mentions 14 gr of Unique with 15 gr recommended by the expert. Lyman says...
Making the brass is probably the biggest pain of owning this gun. If this gun could possibly have a flaw, that would be it.
Had the same case rubbing problem with my FA JRH. It was such a light drag, I cured it by twisting the offending case on some fine sandpaper. Probably couldn't measure a difference without some fine...
