Haven’t been here in a while.
I’m interested in buying or trading for .300BO suitable boolits, GC or PC preferred, for use in AR with suppressor.
I have all manner of lead, j word fodder, cash,...

I don't know what "high or low wood" means. I don't know one barrel band from another. Perhaps I could email you some pics.

I'm trying to help an older fella figure out what his M1 carbine paratrooper is worth. I have a couple pictures. The wood is in good shape, but the sights have been replaced with Williams sights....
Forum: Our Town
Across I65 on the Madison side is Greenbrier BBQ on old Hwy 20. They have a very unique smoked chicken with a white sauce on the side. A leg quarter plate comes with 4 leg/thigh quarters. Very...

I try not to covet, but I'd trade lead for bacon all day long
Forum: Gas Checks
A friend from church just listed a 53pound roll of 26ga 12 inch copper flashing on EBay. Wish I'd known about it, I'd have put it on here.

I'm researching molds and GC for .224 mold. My question is " has anyone installed soda can checks on GC shanked boolits". And how did they perform?
I ask because so many .224 molds are GC style. I...
Those were kinda two thoughts that ran together. Just wondering if anyone cleans their shotmaker periodically. Then a commentary on my recent shotmaking snag. I realize that shot texture is coolant...
I don't use chalk. I use the red stuff that Jim Stewart uses. I do think I need to clean my ramp, as I'm getting a few "tails" on shot, that I presume is from sticking to the ramp.
Anybody ever clean the drippers on their shotmaker? Ive made about a ton of shot now, with some success. I've suddenly started getting wrinkly shot. I'm using straight antifreeze with some laundry...
Awesome deal and smooth transaction with this straight shooter.
Forum: Casting Equipment
I sent USCRA a PM about buying media.
Both of the Lee molds mentioned would be suitable for pistol loads, but aren't ideal for a smooth feeding rifle round. I use an 80gr wadcutter for my pistols.
The hollow point option was a consideration purely for 9mm.
I've been casting for a few years now. We shoot SASS so our cast boolits are pretty low performance. I'm super cheap and have cast with Lee, Lyman, and RCBS, all second hand. As some of you know the...
I a PM about shot. I thought the 4 lb limit was for International.
I have 7.5 pounds of #5's. They have been dusted with mica.
I'll send as much as will fit in a SFRB for $5..... Plus $33 shipping.
I just had to.
I make #8 and I have some Nickle plated #5's if interested.
I agree that trashy shot doesn't matter much in the shot cup. My concern would be the grit, steel and dinged pellets in my reloader. Maybe paranoia, but I could see dirt under the chargebar or a...
Forum: Boolit Lube !
I need some lube recommendations. I cast for .38, 9mm, 45acp and some .44 mag. I've tumble lubed with Rooster and 45/45/10 with success in low velocity .38 and 9mm. I have a RCBS lubri sizer and have...
Ive seen some reclaimed shot from western/sandier states that looked great. I've seen some from here in Georgia that looked like junk. It looked like rusted steel with all of the red clay stuck to...
I'd like to learn more about the popcorn shot. Ive never experienced it. That explanation doesn't make sense to me. Why would a molten lead core explode? It makes more sense that the water is heated...
