No, Veral isn't dead but an accident destroyed most all his equipment so he is out of the mold business but does have some lube. He is 83 or 84.
Check out the LBT website he explaines it all...

I use a Magma Master Pot and it is outstanding.
I've used several brands but the Ed Brown 8 pack mags work flawlessly in my loaded Springfield Armory guns.

I use a mix of 93/5/2 with a BHN of 14 for most every handgun load and I haven't been disappointed

I built two custom rifles in the mid-1980's with Hart barrels. P.J. hart told me not to clean them at all until I was going to shoot them. Instead he said to swab the bore with Hoppe's #9 after...

Hello, I really liked your post and wanted to ask where the "North Highland" range was? I grew up in Highland and did my Hunter Safety and had my first job pulling traps at the Inland Fish & Game at...

I use a 155Gr. LBT WFN with 10gr. Blue Dot. It's a tack driver in my 6" Mo. 28 and very effective

Try a different magazine that has the raised dimple toward the front of the follower. I have several 1911's from Springfield and had problems with different brands of magazines and the only ones...
You're absolutely right on the lube issue, IMHO.
When I started casting in the early 1980's I called Veral Smith at LBT and he helped me with the molds I needed and suggested I use the LBT Blue...

I have a Magma Master Pot, not Master Caster, just the pot and love it.
I have several 1911's and shoot a variety of bullets. The magazine that has worked without exception with whatever bullet I load is the Ed Brown 8 pack. It is the only one that has not FTF...

I use a mixture of 93%/5%/2% for a BHN of 14 when fully cured and I use it in 38/357, 44mag/44special and 45 acp with virtually no leading when lubed with LBT Blue Standard lube. It can be easily...

The H&G 503 (Keith 255 grain) or the LBT 250 WFN. The killing power of the LBT is awesome.
5.5 grns Blue Dot with the H&G #43 bullet. It's the Keith 173 grn bullet.

Check out Richard Kuklinski . He was a killer for the new york mafia for 30 years. He liked to be creative and tied up some hits naked in a drain pipe and let the rats eat him alive and had a...

In the mid-80's I had two Rem. 700 rifles barreled by Hart Rifle Barrels, one in .223 the other in 22-250. I called them about cleaning and talked with P.J. Hart.
The upshot is that I was not...

The previous post is correct: The slots on each side are for grenades with the strap to secure them around the top of the fuse. The hook in the back is to secure to the shoulder straps used for the...

I use Brownell's rust preventive #2 and never had an issue no matter how long the storage.
Thanks but there is absolutely NO desperation here but I'm not greedy either.
Thanks for the input.
I have two H&G 4 cavity molds, #68 & #130, that I am thinking of selling. Both are new, unused and in the original boxes. I purchased them but never used them. They were made in Murphy Oregon to...
Amen, I like to experiment with different bullets and loads and have found none better for my 1911's than the LBT 230 LFN, BHN 14, 6.1gn Unique, WLP, 1.20" OAL, .470" taper crimp. This seems to be...

I bought 4 "Whitworth" rifles in the early 90's at a big discount after they had been on the shelf for a long time and they had Mark X Mauser barreled actions. They had been imported by Interarms. ...

Brownell's Rust Preventative #2 is outstanding at preventing rust by displacing moisture. I have also used cosmoline when I knew the storage was for a very long time but warmed it up first and it...
I have an H&G #51 mold which is a 160grn bullet and is an H&G #43 with a shorter nose so it will chamber in the 357 cylinders. That's what it was made for according to H&G.
