Ouch. Burns suck. I feel your pain. Had third degree burns on my left hand about five years ago. Not from casting. Bubbled up and blistered within seconds. Hurts like a ****.

My .40s, 45acp and 44mag cases all made slugs with tapered ends.

The brass is starline. I measured the expander die. It measures at .4275 until you get to the top where it flares.

Yes. Im using the Lee 4 die set. The seating has a built in Taper, but I back the die out. I use the FCD (roll).

I did. I have a hot plate (griddle) that I use for preheating ingots and molds. Im pretty sure the issue was the temperature of the pot. Pretty sure my Lyman thermometer is off.

From what I've read the 45/45/10 should work fine with non-TL moulds. Please correct if I'm wrong before I lube these.

Umm.. I say buy it all. Pistol Powders are like gold right now. Rifle powder isn't too bad to find but around here in Kansas City finding Pistol Powder is like spotting a "Quadracorn"

I just tumble. Tumble then sonic clean = super clean brass. But I see it as less prep work the better. I like reloading, just not case prep.
