We used it in the Air Force on small gas turbines as well. Temps easily over a thousand degrees with never a problem
GLynn41, why the problem with the narrower meplat?
Should be picking it up this week sometime. Looking for mold recommendations. I cast for 9 mm, 40 S&W and 45 ACP with Ballistic Cast molds and 30 Carbine with an NOE mold, so I guess I'm leaning...

I also use Dr Blackmon's press and .22 caliber dies. Quality tools. What do you want to know?...

I don't recall a Gun Digest article about Mr. Mattern, but the 17th Edition of the Handloader's Digest has a 7-page article about him and does mention the book. I also have the book. Wolfe...

+1. I bought 2 spools from them 6-7 years ago. Nice people and good to deal with. Don't know what the current price would be but they were far cheaper than anyone else. Only thing was (if I remember...
I have the Lee, Hornady and K&M. I like and use them all. For me they ended up: the Lee for small pistol/rifle, Hornady for large pistol and the K&M for large rifle.

I wash them in hot soapy water and put in the oven to dry (lowest temp with the door cracked open). Then I clean them in alcohol (the kind that dries leaving no film--isopropyl/denatured? I know it's...

Mine is actually the neck turner but it's essentially the same tool. Go with the Q type shell holders. The difference in speed is at least 5 fold. You'll get the 'tap' cadence down pretty quick once...

I also have the Premium. Use it for batch loading 7.62 and 5.56 in my ARs. Love it. Have often thought about getting the pistol measure for the calibers I don't reload on a progressive. Just hasn't...
