Either buy or cast some 460 gr slip fit conicals for that rifle. you will be amazed at how accurate it will shoot them.

That's a bargain. did he have one pr made or made only to order.

that is a really nice looking mold. can't wait to see some of the boolits:-P

http://i133.photobucket.com/albums/q62/legginMF1/target/Target-1.jpg UC this was my first time out with my knight wolverine 22" barrel,NEGC peep sight 75 gr RS and a .460 NE conical at 50 yds.all...

i have seen your slip fit concial shooting, which is outstanding.

Bh 209 will work fine in your rifle with a slip fit conical and a wad/ shot card. both Bh209 and 777 IMHO should be used with a wad/shot always, since both powders are much hotter burning than say...

UC, pretty much has it covered as far as QLA's are concerned. you slugged the barrel. so a sized bullet slightly over that will give you a nice slip fit and stay on the powder.. good luck

Your right always better to be a bit over. My knight 1:28 shoots the NE 460 gr( slip fit) lights out with 75 gr Pyrodex. hope you can get that 460 gr conical to shoot in that T/C. good luck
Forum: Muzzleloading.
The T/C rifles are not the best big lead conical shooting rifles due to the deep QLA on the end of the barrel. if you want to try a full bore lead conical, the 1:28 likes a heavy one 445-500 gr....

i am looking for a bullet that will shoot accurately out to 150 yds in the 275-300 gr range..who makes that mold you mentioned.. thanks
Forum: Muzzleloading.
Anyone using this bullet along with a sabot in a 1:28 twist inline? looks promising..
Forum: Muzzleloading.
Corey, i know your trying to save a few bucks, if that knight is a 1:28 .50 cal you really need a longer bullet. .445-.500 gr in front of 70-80 gr pyrodex. i have some .503 .460 gr NE bullets if you...

I shoot the .460 NE bullets from my Knight wolverine1:28, 22" GMB barrel with 75 gr pyrodex with outstanding accuracy. the bullshop .460 and the .445 UC short are also good bets.
Forum: Muzzleloading.
It sounds like the sabot wasn't up against the powder. swab your bore between shots. i use a 50/50 mix of windex and 91% alocohol, just slightly damp between shots with pyrodex. it will leave a soft...

tRY A .460 gr no excuse, there tac drivers in my wolverine with 75 gr pyrodex.
Forum: Muzzleloading.
Forgot to mention, i wanted to try 777 is why i bought the shot cards and i know it burns hotter than pyrodex!!
Forum: Muzzleloading.
i bought some 510" 1/8' shot cards recently. i used to shoot a .54 renegade with pyrodex and maxi's and now have a knight wolverine that shoots .460 conical excellent with .75gr pyrodex. i have...

I am A T/C fan, but the omega is not a good candidate for conicals.do some research and you'll know why. the yellow sabot your using with the SST'S do not usually fit T/C bores well. you might try a...

I was wondering, why you shoot the 500 S&W 440 gr paper patched and not naked ? is the bullet not designed for it. poor accuracy.. Thank you.
