I really thank all who replied. At the present my thoughts run to using some kind of home made wad, probably cut with a 45 colt case. I have several sheets of 1/16" beeswax that I may try.

I really like the idea of using air, either canned or from a compressor, on a progressive. Don't know why I never thought of it, especially sitting about 5 feet from one.

Thanks very much to all who have replied. This looks particularly interesting. Haven't read it all yet, but will.

What are your opinions on applying Crisco or the grease to the front of the percussion revolver cylinder to prevent cross fires? It used to be pretty much gospel, except recently I read in GUNS mag....

Heck of a good idea. If only I had some teeth to brush.

I wash, dry and tumble 38 and 9mm brass. Next universal decapper, and reprime on bench mounted Lee. then on to the pro 1000. I could just as easy use a sizing die instead of the decapper, and I did...

I have a couple of them on my pro 1000's, 9mm and 38 spc. Mostly Tight Group powder, haven't had any trouble with excessive leakage. I also have a couple RCBS, a Lyman 55, and a fixed bushing...

I bought a case of wild cat 22 L.R. One of them ruptured at the firing pin indent in my Chinese copy of a Bruno, and blew out my right side extractor. In my S&W, 22A one blew off the head completely....

Thanks much, I just ordered a set of ampcos from buffalo arms, they were the only ones who listed a set specifically for the Euro Arms. I hope they fit.

Aw yes, I replied that they definitely were .081. Well it hurts to admit it, but they ain't. They came out real easy, in fact I didn't even use a vice. Just the cylinder in one hand and wrench in the...

Rodwha, again thanks for the info. I admit I am a little hesitant to tackle this thing, because the nipples have probably been installed since 1972, (date of mfg.) Do you reckon I should soak the...
Me too! The 9mm is a pretty high pressure cartridge, with not much room for powder. Things can go bad fast.

Rodwha, who sells them? Cheap is one of my favorite things.
My son, when he first started reloading, managed to get some 40 s&w loads about .060 short from his desired length. This happened because of lube build up in the seating die. He was using unique and...

They are .081 alright. Does anyone know what they should be? Where would I find Ampcos?

Interesting. I have a friend who does basically the same thing and his jobs are beautiful.

No I haven't taken it apart. I've had the grips and trigger guard off and from what I can see, it appears pretty clean. I understand about a weak mainspring. The holes are uniform, but I was worried...

I hope this is the right place to post this. I bought a Euro Arms Replica of a Remington percussion revolver, Years ago at a gun show. It looks to be in real good shape. Lately I've thought I might...
For me at least, It works real well in 9mm & 38 spc.,with cbs. Mild loads but real accurate. I had for years used unique, or powders in that burn range. I first used TG during the Obama years, cause...

Around 35 yrs ago I did several hundred LCs . ran them thru a 08 fl die and then thru a 7mm neck sizer which I had made, and finally a 243 fl die, these steps were all done with the expanders removed....

This has been my experience also. Wildcats used to shoot really well, especially considering the low price. I bought a case of them a few months ago, and can expect 3 to 5 misfires per hundred. The...

Sar b6p, bought it because the one I purchased several months before was extremely accurate. Sadly the last one, not so much.

That's a real neat repair. I am not trying to sound like a smart a-- ,and probably don't fully understand the situation, but Lee, about 25 or so years ago started making that link out of steel.
