Its amazing the stuff you can learn on this forum. Thanks for posting! I make my own jigs and coat them now. This is a really neat idea.

I was offered a few molds in exchange for helping someone cast some .50 cal minis. I have been trying to identify these molds and am not coming up with much. Any thoughts on the caliber etc and...
Saw this on another thread... This is pretty exact so I am going to give it a try! Good stuff. Thanks everyone.

"New to casting but using the same mold and pot as the OP. I heat my molds on a hot plate and keep track of their temp with a infrared thermometer, I've found about 400deg mold temp and lead at...
Great feedback. I suspected that was the case. I like the hotplate idea. Dunking a corner would definitely work better too. I think I have one lying around here. Based on reading more on this...
I have been trying to getting into casting for some time now. Recently, through some acquisitions I have started making my own jigs and bullets. I have been collecting supplies for about 2-3 years...

I Hope you guys are right! I just picked up 112 lbs of ballast and ingots for 30$ Good stuff. 2 of the larger ingots ping slightly when dropped but are clearly lead. I suspect I might need to...

I read in one of the postings that the .356 would some times strip down the groove lines in the bullet. Thanks for the explanation on the...
Ok.... This is awesome feedback thanks everyone. Here is what the consensus seems...
.380 and 9mm - size to .357
38 special and .357 mag - size to .358
So are the symptoms of the bullet...
So the 358 should work for my .380 , 9mm, 38 sp and 357? That sounds like the right move then.
OK. So in the consensus .358? I have an opportunity to change it out with the exchange. I want to do whats smart. BTW... thanks for the feedback.
Appreciate it. After seeing the responses, I called Titan Reloading. It had already shipped, but there was no problem with the exchange. From what I can see, .357 seems to be what I am looking...
Ah man... I got the .356 sizer because the Lyman Cast bullet manual used that as a baseline for both the .380 and the 9mm. Primarily this will be used for my .380 and then possibly for the 38...
Well... I fell prey to the bullet casting bug. Over the past few months, I have accumulated lead, done my first ingots fro WW. Now I have a mold for my pistols and also for my shotgun.

Thanks everyone. I would love to get ahold of some range lead at some point. That would be way easier. Your comments on safety ... I thought the same thing afterwards. I should have worn my work...
