Round nose is a non-issue....

I'm not sure what game loads are but it's shooting great with the 200 grain SWCs over 5.5 grains of Unique.
This is what I'm going to shoot them in.

My buddy gave me a Lee TL365-124-2R and a Lee 356 sizer. I'll try them.
I'm thinking that may be the one I'm going to get.
I've been reloading for years but never for semi-auto pistols. Can any of the Lee boolits be shot as cast with good results? I'd prefer a 200 grainer to save lead but I'm open to suggestions.
Aren't the heavy (255 grain) bullets hard on the 1911s?
If I wanted to shoot the Lyman 457122 in my New Model Blackhawk could I size it to .454 or .452 in the Lee Sizer? Which would you choose?

I love the .30-06 but a .357 or .44 is probably better for cast boolits and pistol powdwers. .38 Special brass is free sometimes.

The rear sight is mounted on the receiver not the barrel.
I'm looking for one double cavity mold that would work well in my Remington R1 and my Ruger Blackhawk in .45 Colt. Loads would be modest charges of Unique. I was thinking about the 200 grainer. ...

I have this mold and will be shooting some ober the next few days in my Ruger #1. I will post my results.
Here's mine...

I built this today. All the wood was recycled from scrap and the nails came from the trash. Completely free.

Unique works well for both light and magnum loads.

The .44 Magnum has a bigger rim. It's better in the levergun and it's more powerful even when using reloads.
