The prices have sky rocketed the past year. I have seen them in fair condition in gun shops in my area for $700. A good carbine with a good barrel will bring considerably more than that.

I have had good results with Winchester 540 and Accurate Arms # 5 powders. I use 180g RNFP lead bullets. I load them to run 850 FPS. They shoot really well out of my Glock 22.

I have a CZ452 Lux and it is a tack driver ! I highly recommend it if it is within your budget.

I bought a Mosin Nagant 91/30 with a Hex receiver recently. I shoot the Mauser Match at my local club with the rifle and it shoots really well with Russian 149g ball ammunition.

I own a Pedersoli Rolling Block 45-70 and use the same load with S&S Casting bullets. I am amazed at how accurate the rifle is at 100 yards.
