It could be your eye relief. On Leupolds you can adjust it with the eyepiece. Nothing like a crisp clean cross hair for making those long shots on coke cans. A great scope is the Leupold 2X.

Book velocity for jacketed? I thought cast bullets were supposed to go 200 fps faster for the same pressure. [smilie=p:

I worked up until it sticks then go down and find load. What does chronograph tell you?
It looks like you are right there with one load! Now shoot the others and it should be better. That was smart to start with the right hardness and a good lube. You tested the design and it does...

Veral's right about what he suggests and what is written in his book. I don't feel it is just advertising like you make it out. I have tried several things and he is right on!...

That's the entrance and exit hole. How about a channel comparison? What a HP versus a SP does inside.
Everybody is selling something. Who has decades of experience making performance cast...

No reason to denigrate one to benefit the other. Fit is King. Try it out before you buy it. :coffeecom

Remember, hardness isn't everything! Fit is King! Hard lubes are used for commercial, and your bore needs to be in good condition. :coffee:

The SP provides the optimum wound channel through an unlimited working range. The HP needs the specific alloy and has a limited working range. If it is short range, it can cause...

No, one melting pot. I make the SP's with a SP mold. Then I change the alloy in the pot to my hard alloy. I get the bullet mold hot, drop in the "point", crush it in with a wood dowel so it heats...

That Varget load sounds like a healthy load for a 3 3/4# pistol.

You've got to be kidding. You're shooting a 44 mag with a load like that and your bullet hardness is only 11? C'mon, man! Harden those bullets and report back.

My LBT has .8 grains lube. Why do you want all that lube?
That's an LFN. Mine's a WLN. Both of our LBT's are better than the Lee.

The easy way to see if your flux is working is compare it to Marvelux. I found wax didn't do the trick, but Marvelux was good.

Don't forget, the bullets grow. When he picks a bigger heavier hunting bullet, that little bit of clearance will be helpful for chambering.
The guns you pay a lot of money for and they don't shoot. Glad I avoided them.

There's no gain going from BH 21 to BH 15. Just water drop your bullets and be done with it. :cbpour:
