My Coonan does that to some of the brass. I would say those cases were most likely fired from something with a feed ramp.

$300-$350 is about what a nice usable 37 sells for around my area.

powder coating has greatly help cast shooting in the m1 carbine.
So, if one were to put an 8 pound spring in a Coonan classic (that's the spring it takes to cycle wad cutters in mine anyhow), would it allow said person to compete?

I'm most likely an odd ball in that I STILL use my Lee loaders. I have a hand press, and dies of course, but going to a cabin, or on the go as it were, I grab the Lee loaders. The only other thing...
I'm in. Would love to see a ruger 77/327. Can't begin to imagine how fun a bolt gun that can shoot all the rimmed 32's would be.

I use a cast 158 in 357 for deer. As previously stated, shot placement is the key to a good humane harvest. I also use jacketed soft points with very good results. Best of luck.
I will have to go with 327 due to its versatility, but, I prefer to shoot 32 s&w long. It's just a pleasure to shoot.

PA has open carry as well. But if even your jacket covers any part of the handgun, then it is considered concealed. During archery, you are not permitted to possess a loaded firearm. So, only those...

That was allowed because of the archery hunters. M-Tecs hit the nail on the head.

Back when I looked into doing this, there was a die to star crimp "blanks". That was the route I was going to go.

Fantastic bullet for auto loaders. I use it in the Coonan in both 357 and 38 special. I can only guess but I bet it would work well in 38 super. Still don't own one, YET!
I use an old police belt and holster for my .357 Blackhawk. It has the cartridge loops, so I have different ammo choices on hand. And the magazines for the 77/357 rifle fit in the pouch which is a...

I have used small pistol magnums in 223 for a single shot rifle ONLY! It works, but I wouldn't recommend it. I have read in various other places where cci packages small rifle primers in the spm...

I have killed a lot of deer with a 357 magnum, a few with a 30-30, and not one with a 223. That said, given your stated situation, I wouldn't even hesitate to have him use the 223. He is obviously...

I love mine. I have the 77/357. It's taken a few deer and anyone can shoot it with 38 special. It's my favorite range toy rifle too. Super cheap to reload for.
My pre 82 600jr is at my nephew's house. If you have a little time, I can, in a few days, go and measure that part for you. I may be able to remake the part as well.

I use the lee 158gr rnfp for all my 357 magnum guns. It feeds and shoots fantastic from the coonan and the Ruger 77/357. Works great on game.
Power pistol. It's loud and flashy. And also not a speed demon. Hope this helps.
I would be very tempted to jump on the list if they brought back the 30 carbine. Then all I would need would be a marlin 62 levermatic and a Blackhawk to complete the "30 carbine guns" collection....

I have a dog in this fight. I own and hunt with a ruger blackhawk and a ruger 77 in 357 magnum. I shoot 158 grain and limit pistol shots to bow range and rifle shots to 100 yards. I am very...

I haven't shot a deer past 100 yards with mine. The one I did shoot at that distance was a lung a d upper heart shot. It died on the spot. Hope this helps you.

I use the lee 158 rnfp powder coated and sized to 358. I load it with h110 or win 571(which is no longer available) and get very good accurate loads out to 150 yards. We were shooting 20 ounce soda...

I pc 357 magnum, and shoot it in carbine and revolvers and the coonan 1911. I use whatever scrap lead I can get my hands on, size them all to .358, and PC them. I'm not shooting competitions or...
