Thanks for the replies. This isn't an experience I have had often or, indeed, at all before. I usually store bullets in zip loc bags if they are lubed with hard lubes. These ones were just in a card...

Hi,
Just a quick question. I found some bullets I had cast a while ago and have been stored in a dampish environment in a card board box. Some of the bullets appear to have oxidised. Will they be...

I use both powders in my .45 ACP carbines and they work equally well. Bullseye has always been my preference simply because I have used more of it.

For plain base bullets I wipe them on a piece of denim. For bevel based bullets I have made up a punch as shown that fills the void of the bevel base preventing it from filling with lube....

Since this is a cast bullet forum, there are plenty of moulds available for the .41 magnum. MP Molds make scaled down versions of their .44 moulds. So the only component they don't share is the case....
I have four Lee hand primers. I have broken a couple in the past. Lee stuff is good for the price but it is possible to wear out some of their cast parts. I use these the most. I have a Lee...

Here's mine. The Lyman 22596 a little 49 grain bullet. It is a single cavity mould so it is a slow process.
Mold Maker, the MP 311410 had a problem with oversized pins. Miha replaced them without quibble. An excellent mould.

All melted down. I used my Lyman dipper with the spout blocked to dollop a "consistent" quantity into my ingot moulds. I will weigh each one and write on it. A...

Today's score! I was debating whether to go to a car boot sale or not. I'm glad I did. A total of approximately ten pounds of pewter.

Today I had the pleasure of priming my first batch of .45 ACP cases that I had cleaned using my newly acquired stainless steel media tumbler. What a joy, it was like using new brass. I didn't do it...

Thanks for your comments. I have a small lathe and enjoy tinkering to solve these sorts of problems. I have made them for several of my Lyman / RCBS sizer dies too. If you know a hobbyist with a...

This is my solution for this problem. Machining a new insert that will accommodate the bullet's bevel. Generally I would not choose a bevel based design but they do crop up from time to...

Does anyone know if Bergamot belt buckles are solid pewter. I have found I have three which I am unlikely to wear anymore. Two of them certainly look like pewter. They are too thick to bend by hand...

Since I have discovered brass moulds I have not looked back. I have two Accurate and five MP moulds. I love them. My only regret is not discovering them sooner.
