I load for my 1873 trapdoor with FFg. 65 grains by volume is a compressed load. After about 5 or 6 of these, you think you have been shoulder firing an 81mm mortar. Never tried smokeless in it. Good...

pROBLEM is grinding the 7.5 mm drill tip ---to half round --
that's where the inaccuracy starts ----
If your drill is reversible, clamp it to a table, run it in reverse an use a file to shape the...

You may have to run a throating reamer into your chamber. Lots of the newer guns have no leade.

Sounds good. I'll have to cast a few, the ones I have on hand are sized .454 for my 45 colt rugers.

I will be feeding it to a Remington R1 1911. Just an idea I had since I have a couple of molds in this design, Thanks for your input. I'll try a few.

Anyone ever try 255 gr rnfp's in a 45 acp? Not too heavy of a bullet, but will they feed okay?

i USE A 12 INCH PIECE OF OAK 2X2 WITH ONE END SANDED INTO A HANDLE. WORKS GREAT FOR TAPPING THE HINGE PIN TO DROP STUBBORN BULLETS. USE THE END OF IT TO PUSH THE SPRU PLATE OPEN.

Some of the steel targets we use in SASS matches are only about 8 - 10 yds out. they are angled so that any splatter is directed downward. You can find more info at www.sassnet.com .

I was a member of the old "Shooers.com" board. Got lost when it went down. Finally found the Aimoo brd, then transferred to this one. Use it as my HOMEPAGE!

I have had the same problem with my lee six cavity 38 mold. I finally figured out the same thing that you did. I pressed the guide pin back in until the shoulder was just below flush. No more finning.

Look at the wad guide fingers, the older models have a metal ring with red plastic fingers inside. The newer one are all plastic.

I would go for the MEC. You can find them on E-bay fairly reasonable. They are almost impossible to wear out.
