so mixing with pure lead will make the lead much harder and you can end up with a

This is a excellent thing to do , it always amazes me that the
sprue plates are really not that flat and especially the sprue holes .

Thats just the way that the light is hitting it , I did not drill it .

How about a picture of the molds , I will not have a chance
to cast any ingots any time soon , these molds look fantastic .

The Mag 25 is excellent it heats up fast you
can drop your sprue back in as you cast and
it keeps the temp up very well and yes you
will need to upgrade to the NOE mold guide .

I cast mostly small slugs from 35-50 grain with pure lead or 40:1
and the higher temp produces much better looking boolits for me .

Can the Lyman Mag 25's PID controller be turned up above 850 degrees
I thought that I've read somewhere that it can , i'm looking to run the pot
at around 870-880 degrees . The pot is set at 850...
