I have had good operation and accuracy with 7.7 gr of 4227 behind a 247 gr NOE.

Makes about 770 fps out of my 8" suppressed.

That was as slow as I could go and reliably run the action.

Bought some cci cb shorts at wally world the other day.

Another vote for Winchester 74 in short or long rifle. The short will cycle CCI CB shorts if it is well maintained.

Have a look at the D&H 300 Blk 20 and 30 rd magazines (Bravo Co. has them). They have the rib set back and allow stuffing fatter bullets (247 NOE) etc. into a magazine without binding. I load the 247...

Built an 8" SBR running suppressed using 225 and 245 gr NOE cast GC. 1,050 fps and runs fine. Using D&H mags and a widened feed ramp on the BHW barrel. Took a nice buck with it last season.

My experience has been that D&H 300 BLK specific mags work great with 247 NOE and I imagine any other cast bullet you want to stuff in them.

I have the same problem. Here is pic of lead on bolt.

I am shooting the same bullet (247 NOE). Gas checked and lubed with alox. Will be looking for a bur and will be changing lube.
