Thanks BR, that's a lot more info than I started out with. Do you have any idea about dates of manufacture or collector value?

I don't know if this is the right place to post this but I guess it can be considered a handgun. From my earliest memories as a child my Dad had this air pistol and it didn't work because the pump...
Since I seldom use the 'double' action function when I do have the choice I prefer single action. They're a lot more accurate, for me anyway.

I use a 3" piece of eigth inch wooden dowel and mark it with a magic marker. When I charge a block of fifty bottle-neck cases I do the flashlight check and it there is any doubt I'll use the dowel to...
I like the Lee 'soup can' 115gc with 9gr Unique for 1600 fps, good plinker and varmint load.

I usually wait until I have several to clean, that's not long since I do shoot a lot. I run a well worn solvent soaked brass brush in each gun and let them set a while. The real dirty ones get a swab...
If you want a bulkier powder try Trail Boss, it's a little faster than Unique or AA5 but over twice the bulk.

Gelandangan,
I've been to Oz, but that was a long time ago, 1968 R&R. My citric acid powder musta' come from a different kind of lemon, it doesn't work quite that good.

I like my Browning Buckmark Target pistol, it'll shoot one hole groups all day long at 25 yards. With its 10" bull barrel and Bushnell pistol scope it'll spin the lid off a fruit jar without breaking...

Shooting 22's is a great way to relieve tension and enhance your basic shoot skills. I have several and try to shoot them all when I can.
10-22 target rifle with a Fajen stock and Adams barrel....
Years ago I loaded some 80 gr JHP .310 pistol bullets over a case full of 4064 in a 7.7 I had at the time. I guess-timated the velocity at 4000+. The bullets virtually disappeared on contact with a...
When I started using cast boolits 40+ years ago I loaded them as you would J-bullets, same powder, same velocity. I found out real quick that does't work. I bought the Lyman manual,#44 I think, and...

I like Starline brass, too. Does anybody have the link to their web page handy?

You can also cut up a gallon milk jug to make difussers and punch holes to go over the sticks. Don't set up too close or you'll burn little 'hot powder' holes in the plastic display cover. Good luck...

I have an old Lee 'el cheapo' works fine, about wore out tho, may have to buy another one some day.

My Lee 'spoon' is good for scraping, fluxing, stirring and skimming. For pouring I use a Lyman 'ladle'.

About 10-12 years ago I loaded 2000 rds of 45 ACP for a friend, all cast boolits. I had plenty of free ww's and spend $8 on a bar of solder. The primers cost me $12 a carton and 2 lbs of Unique was...

I guess I'll have to step to the Marlin side of the aisle. My all time favorite was a Marlin 336 in 35 Rem that I had 40 years ago. I've had many over the years but that one rifle stands out.

I agree with 44man, WD40 is some bad stuff aroung guns. I have heard it will remove bluing but I ain't going to try it to find out.
BTW, the toothbrush was invented by a hillbilly ------ if...

I bought a used "Pistol Perch" years ago, works great for taking the 'me' out of the equation.

If you want a light plinker load try 6 gr of Trail Boss with the 195 or the 240.
Larry
IMHO Trail Boss isn't quite as good for plinkers in rifle cases as Unique. Of course I may be a little biased since I been using Unique for 40 years. I do like TB in 44/45 pistol loads.

Treerat,
Just for your info anyway Re7 is a little too fast for J-bullets in a 270. For the 125 Lee GC cast boolit I have found 21 gr Re7 at 1770fps to be a fairly accurate load.

Thanks guys. I'm like Tom-ADC, I use a Lyman 55 and set it with a Pact digital. I also have a Franklin digital and sometimes use an RCBS balance beam scale with a trickler. I find that the 55 will...
