Thanks! I have a variety of powders, I like the 4320 in my 308 but I'm afraid the burn rate may be too fast (pressure) for the old Krag. I'll try 28 of 3031 and chrono it - seems like 1800 or so...

I recently purchased an 1894 Springfield 30-40 Krag (with the 1896 upgrades). Nice gun, bore is mint and slugs at 0.3085. I will be casting 200 gr and sizing to .309.
