I also emailed Mihec and he replied it was for the 223 molds. I'm pumped! I thought that thread was long gone.
Paid invoice already. Thanks Mihec

This is exactly what I'm looking for as well. 18" penetration is about perfect for the size deer I'm hunting with this round.
Mihec, are you still interested in making some longer pins? If so,...

Some advice...
Use the Putty and give it a few minutes to start hardening before you form it. I tried it first when it was still tacky and even with the case lube on the bullet it stuck to the...

Looks like the modified seating stem fixed it.
I ended up getting some JB Weld Putty, mixed it up, waited a few minutes until it wasn't tacky anymore and almost dry, then I formed it with the...

I think that's just a symptom of the tapered 9mm case.
I actually size my bullets before and after I powder coat them. So these bullets are sized exactly to 0.356" as seated. I think Hornadys...

I just got off the phone with Hornady and ordered two replacement seating stems for my dies ($4.25/ea).
Im just going to try putting some JB weld in the seating stem, lower it onto my bullet, and...

No its just normal old 9mm brass.

It's definitely only contacting at one point. These are 147gr bullets from an NOE mold so I'm assuming they're not ideal for that seating stem.
I don't have a lathe... Was considering ordering...

I've powder coated quite a few rifle bullets (mostly 300 blackout) and everything has always gone smoothly.
Did my first batch of 9mm bullets and the seating die seems to be crushing the powder...

I size all of my powder coated bullets before and after they're powder coated. So any high spots would be sized down to size and any low spots wouldn't get touched.
I hope it doesn't come down to...

So what you're saying is.... I need to go a little heavy on the powder coating ;)

I have what might be a stupid question, but im going to ask anyways...
Why can't we just seat these deeper to avoid the throats issues? I have the NOE "taco" mold and I originally had some issues...

That sounds great! I don't think the diameter needs to increase. Based on the ballistic gel results Posted previously it looks like it's expanding perfectly, just reaches the bottom of the HP before...

I was thinking the same thing! I happen to own the 311-410 mold MiHa made with long pins. I was hoping I could swap them in to this mold but they won't fit.

This first link is not working for me. Do you mind trying to upload it again? Really curious to see the expansion.
Also, curious why you wanted to retire the noe mold? Looks like it's expansion is...

Yes, you have to pay shipping. He ships these all over the world and shipping costs differ substantially across the world. You pay the actual cost to ship to your house and you get tracking.

Got mine today too. She sure is purdy! Can't wait to fire up the pot!

Agreed. Really excited to get this one. It's been a loooong time from initial concept to now, but I have no doubts it will be worth it!

I genuinely hate to do this, but please remove me from the list. The timing of this closing could not have been worse, started the new year off with over $2k in medical bills for my 6mo old (some...

Lakehouse, do you mind explaining what you mean by a cam? I have a few Mihec brass and aluminum molds, but I'm not sure what you mean by the Al mold having a cam?
Are you suggesting the brass one...
