I wish kudzu could be used to make charcoal for black powder. It's everywhere around here.

Actually, I didn't spot the weights at the auction. My wife and I are friends with the family that runs the auction house. I made a starter bid to generate some interest, except their wasn't any...

I was at a sportsman's auction a few weeks ago and tossed out a starter bid on a tub of canvas "duck butts" with weights.
No one else bid on them so I won the lot for $10.00

I can access the site without the warning message. However, when I go to subscribed threads, UserCP, or messages I get a blank screen.
Thanks.

I ordered a set of grips. I'll post a new picture when they arrive and are fitted.
Thanks.

Green Frog,
Yeah, I've been looking at their website. I'm just not sure which of the black "rubber" grips are appropriate for my pistol.
I was thinking maybe these.
Any suggestions?

I'm hoping to get some repro hard rubber grips. If that doesn't pan out, my fallback plan is to trim the grips to fit.

Here's my S&W Model 1896 (First Model) wearing J-Frame grips. Notice the overhang at the bottom.
I would like to find a pair of repro hard rubber grips.

Mike,
Do you have a source for the collet chuck you use? I've been trying to figure out a way to hold cases in my lathe without damaging them.
Thanks.

Ricksplace,
Thanks for the websites. I'll take a look at them for a four jaw chuck.

Here are some pictures of the bench I'm making for my lathe. Made from 2x10 lumber and 3/4" plywood. The top (almost finished) is doubled 3/4" plywood with pine trim at the outer edges.

Mold Maker,
I'm still getting the occasional off centered neck. Would you share your process for resolving this issue?
Thanks.

In addition to the advice above, your H&R may also be missing the quill spring. If you take off the cylinder, there should be a small flat spring along the top of the cylinder quill. These often...
