On my last batch, I used 1 Tablespoon "Vibrant Red", 1 Tbs. of John Deere Yellow, and a little over 1/2 Tbs. of "Slick Black".
The color going into the oven was kind of a Honey Mustard..Color coming...

For the long term Powder Coat I use empty (And Cleaned) Smokeless Powder 1# containers. I securely tape the Paint company label, with instructions on to the outside of the container..Bill.

Not really sure of the "Measured" thickness?? I DO know that I get total coverage on most-no gray lead specs showing through the paint.

I do like to size to .357" after the PC.

I use my Lyman 450, and .357" die with the stem removed-I pass through the bottom of the die and out the bottom of the Lyman 450.

For ME..95% of my powder coat at this time is for handgun loads.
I cast-cool (usually at least overnight)-powder coat-cool-pass...

The bullets from the above mold cast, painted, sized (to .357") well.

Problem is they are just TOO slick for the NARROW case neck. I can not get good tension, even with a good size, very slight...

THAT is what I wanted to hear RN..I have used All Powder Paint on my 9's,.38's,40's, and .45acp's. I DO also size my 9MM (after paint) to .357".
I got into the .357 Sig by the way of buying a Storm...

I've been powder coating (Shake+Bake) for awhile now with great success.

To me, I think Smoke nailed it with the acetone "Wash"

To me, it looks like the bullets were not completely clean

I would wash all in acetone, and get yourself an oven thermometer to be sure...
