I never could get the swc to function properly in my XD45. The head of the round being extracted would always catch on the mouth of the next round in the magazine. Maybe I had them seated to deeply.

David Corbin's book recommends boiling the cases in water and detergent followed by a second boil in plain water. Than baking in a 600 oven for 20 minutes to dry and anneal before drawing.

Did some casting with the new mold. I too could see some light between the cavities and around the base of the pins. It appears the pins are ever so slightly out of round due to the staking process....
