I seen this in another thread and they talked about doing a 50/50 mix. Would you do it by weight or volume? I can see if it works it would be a good cheap alternative to commercial lube.

I have one of the earlier SW 586's and I wouldn't trade it for anything. I actually traded a Ruger 357 max Blackhawk even-up for it. I had cut the top strap about 1/8" deep so I figured it was time...
Here's a photo of my 586. On your side plate you have to put the top in first then gently tap it on. Hope this helps.

What about the exersize bicycles? I bet we could rig up a bracket to support a tumbler drum and turn it as you peddle it :smile: it'll turn the drum and after a mile or so you'll have clean polished...
