Air temp where you cast makes a big difference, if it varies during the year. I cast in the garage and run my hotplate at 1/2 in the summer, 3/4 (or higher) in the winter.

Call or email Redding. They will likely either email (a PDF document) or mail a hard copy (print out of the PDF). They've done this before.

Retest those quenched boolits in a couple weeks. The hardening occurs over time.

When does the bulge occur? During case mouth expansion or boolit seating? The case wall of the 9mm tapers thinner as you get to the case mouth. If your expander (like a 38 Spl/357 Mag expander) is...
I've used Gorilla Glue on Lee handles and it works great.
Off the shelf hot plate here (no temp control). The setting I use depends on the season. I cast in the garage and live in Ohio, so now it...

Maybe use a Sharpie or some Dykem on the boolit and case and see exactly where the contact point is?

Thanks folks!
I've considered getting a Lyman/RCBS to SAECO top punch adapter. Currently (today, anyways), I am of the opinion that a top punch that is un-anchored and has a little free-float...

Here's what I use for the piston seal:

Neoprene washer on the end of the piston:

A nylon washer for strength. Note the hole is too big, so I pack lube in there to help center...

Operation Tips
1. How do I know if the sizer is warm enough? You should be able to push the die's ejector pin up with pressure from the tip of your pinky figer and it is a moderate pressure at...

Adjusting the Guide Rods
So, the whole ram mechanism is guided by two steel rods. Those have nuts top and bottom. The owner's manual say for you to send the tool in to Redding to have that...

Loading the Reservoir
If you are setting up a pre-owned sizer the first time, be sure to throughly clean the reservoir and the hollow part of the casting surrounding the die. Do the same if when...

Pressuring the Lube and Leaks:
The thing to keep in mind is this machine is made to run axle grease type of fluid. If your lube is stiffer, you make it pump the thicker lube, but you are forcing...

Heaters
This tool was designed when lubes were a lot light, basically the consistency of grease. So it does not work well with stiffer lubes unless they are heated. That includes some lubes that...

A few times a year, there's posts asking about this lubrisizer. I don't know how many folks buy them new and how many are like me and get one used as their first one. I thought I'd share what I've...
Lyman #49 does not list loads in either cal for 100 gr bullets. Hornady #8 has data for a discontinued FMJ in both 380 and 9mm. The Hodgdon web site has 100 gr data for both calibers. Accurate...

I put a Harbor Freight welding blanket under my pot.

I have one of these and using them is something of an art. What works for me is enough heat for the lube to flow easily (about like creamy peanut butter) and a light pressure on the reservoir...

I use one of these under my SAECO lubrizer. Works great.

The "R" stands for radius and means the radius of the projectile (half the projectile's diameter). The number is a multiplier of that radius.

I think the hole gets larger as the mold temp increases.

I like how the Cramer pins are flush with the bottom of the mold block. You get direct heating from a hotplate. If they get too cool, just a few minutes back on the hotplate gets them back up to...

I do like 44man, except I use a kitty litter bucket. Drop height is 3 to 4 inches. The bucket ends up being 3 to 4 feet from the pot.
