I have one in 22-250 and 223. With 55g blitz king over 25g of 748 the 223 is a tack driver. Boyd's now even makes a replacement stock for them. Great rifle and a great value.

I think I figured it out. I grabbed a cartridge that wasn't sized properly when I made the dummy. I FL sized it and it chambered properly. The boolit never touched the rifiling.

Ok so I got my cast boolits lubed, sized and checks installed today. I made a dummy round with an OAL of 2.700 based on manual data. I put the dummy in the gun and had to crank on the bolt handle...
I just cast my first boolits for my 308. They are 155g gas checked cast from old pistol bullets I had laying around. I lubed, sized and checked them now I am ready to load. The problem is I cant...

Ok so I finally finished the die and tried to size some boolits with it. It operated fine to size just the boolit, I think (Is it supposed to shave the lead or compress it?) But when I tried to run...

Yes it is a slip in, with a barrel nut. I can pull the liner out and drop a shell in and go.

Im looking for one in 44mag to re-chamber in a wildcat I developed, based on a shortened 30-06 case necked up to 429. Kind of like a rimless 444.

It is a bit heavy.. I modified the extractor that was in the gun. I havent installed it yet. Right now I just pull the spent shell out with my fingers.

Im trying to understand how the point forming dies are made. Does anyone have any pictures of the process they used. Im working on the de-rimming die now and up next will be the point forming die. ...

I bought this 60's vintage SS Kersge (sp) 12 gauge and made a 44 mag liner for the barrel, from a GM blank. I shoot mostly 240g lead boolits over 7g of Trail Boss. Very cool little gun. Let me...

Very cool rifle. I recently passed on one because of excessive throat erosion. Im still looking for one in decent shape. At that price I would buy it, if its in good condition.

Yep 67 was the year I got hatched as well :) Do your brother and uncle shoot?
I am going to brew up some lube from a recipe I found on here and do it in cake form. Eventually I am going to do...

I am careful about breathing fumes when casting and tumbling. It is very rewarding casting your own. I'm going to order some additional moulds real soon :-)
I'm going to get the powder coating...

I love this site. I like the social aspect as much as the technical. There is nastiness everywhere on the net, you just have to filter it out. If I ask a dumb question and get a snarky answer, I...

I cast a bunch more (not enough :) ) and then tossed them in my vibratory tumbler. They took on a dark grey color, probably from the media that was in there. I think they look cool. It made me...

They are GC boolits. I will be shooting these out of my Ruger Scout Rifle. I have to finish my sizing die, then size and install checks.

Here is what mine came out looking like after getting the mould hot by casting a bunch and scooping all the **** out of the pot. What do you think?

Cast with a LEE C312-155-2R from some old 9mm bullets. I cast about 30 bullets until I got the mould nice and hot to where the bullets came out shiny and un wrinkled. The measure .308 just above...
