Just finished forming some 40 mixed 308 civilian brass to 300 Savage.

Polished, deprimed, cleaned primer pockets, sized in 308 Win dies, then sized in 300 Savage dies.
A Lee trimmer base chucked...

We save all our bad brass, dead primers etc and take them to the scrap metal yard to trade for scrap lead. :redneck:

Be sure no live primers are mixed in there...

I have this Lee 6 hole Gang mold (C225-55-RF) you are talking about. It has a flat meplate and seems to work OK in my bolt rifle chambered in 223 Rem. Don't know about using in gas operated auto...

Went for a walk this morning after doing chores. Will start the polisher with some GI 30-06 LC 54. Got almost two coffee cans so will take several batches.

Lube/sized 10 pounds of 0.452" 230gr Lee cast using the Lyman 450
Loaded a box of 45acp with Unique powder from a can marked $3.78. Been on the shelf a while.
Lube/sized a butter tub of 162gr...

A flat bar over the extruder ram. It has two long bolts that work like a gear puller to lift it back up, using his air wrench on each bolt.

bisher.arthur, Are you belling the case mouth? That helps the boolit slide into the case mouth like a funnel. But you knew that, right?
Most reloading companies make a seperate die for that purpose....

Started casting 197X and still going.
Finding Pb at tire shops is no more.
Range lead is OK but slow.
Medical lead (radiation storage devises) are about 30 lbs.
Ship yards often have sailboat...

I also have a Harvey Deprimer Tool. Have used it on GI 5.56 brass with nice results, having done about a dozen coffee cans of brass.

Load lots of calibers, both rifle and pistol. No shotguns.

He has a cross bar of flat steel with a tapped hole on each end and uses a battery drill with a socket. The two bolts are tightened alternately to pull the push rod back out of the hole.

Got my old 450 at an estate sale about 1990. Been using it all along with a little lube always leaking out base O-ring.
