I went to Amsoil's web page and had a look att Amsoil Dominator. It doesn't seem to be an oil, they call it an Octane Booster. And the MSDS says it contains 60-100% kerosene.
My guess is that much...

I wrote a reply but deleted it because I really don't know why this happens. But I've seen this phenomena with several different lube cookings and the lube seems to work fine anyway.

One of the recipes for case sizing lube is castor oil and lanolin, approx 50/50 to make it firm enough for using the fingers to rub it onto the case before sizing.

As an alternative to the risky cooking off of the solvent, why not trying to melt Paraffin- and Carnauba wax in a double boiler and then adding your LLA.

Do make some polish if you like. But for the lube itself use paraffin and carnauba only.

Why boil anything if you can use pure paraffin- and carnauba waxes and just add the LLA?
